The COVID-19 Response Committee of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri Imo State today presented to the world and to the Management of the institution The Pedal operated/semi-automatic hand washing/sanitizing machine and Solar powered automatic hand washing, drying and sanitizing machine which are used to maintain a World Health Organization (WHO) standard of hygiene towards the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in Nigerian in particular and the world in general.

He calls on both the Government and private entrepreneurs such as hotels, industries, churches and other institutions to partner with the institution for commercial production. He requested the press to do the needful in the publicity of the products.
He concluded by thanking the COVID-19 Committee of the institution that has worked tirelessly towards making the vision a reality.
